ONÍRICA

Onírica is a project by Ricardo Maio. Photographs upon photographs. Colors upon colors that intertwine. A metaphotographic overview of the author's images, from his beginnings in landscape photography to his latest works involving bodies, lines, and expressions. By using image projections onto nature and abandoned locations, Onírica creates, unveils, and showcases textures and lights, shapes and new perspectives that evoke a sense of estrangement and encourage a fresh gaze. Body and chair, body and stairs, body and birds. Lights, colors, and shadows that refer us to fragments of dreams, desires, and experiences. Synthesis and history of an entire creative process that awaken within these images.
